16-11 To paint the pen (continue)

Previously, we've done with the upper part of pen. Now we're going to do the same with lower part of pen. The key is fire frame profile is not the same as the upper part. So you have to consider the profile carefully.

The blue as shown is not correct, so before repaint you need to sand out the top layer. 

Steel primer is a must. 

Next, do the same as the upper part. To draw the fire frame. 

to consider... it should be the same as fire frame profile as pointer.

Next get ready for red painting. 

the final round, I recommend you to leave it into oven for longer time (half an hour) 

 The complete of lower part

I'd like just the Optimus pen should have the color to represent Optimus Prime well. So I think this pattern should be the way of it.

If you satisfy with this looks, you can finish it with gloss lacquer, but the way of mine is not. I prefer the weathering as realistic (a bit battle damage like his head that we've just done)

So next part (part16-12) will be the weathering of pen.
