17-3 Start painting the moon (continue)

 

Previously we've done with 1st color (base color) for the moon. This part I'll let you know how to paint on color tone, in this case I select blue tint that is close to movie.

 

 we should start at bottom to protect overlap color on top.

Also paint slide cover 

who can see a face of cat? ^^ 

And that area will be emited by SMD LED light.

I'll make this plate looks as metal 

You can finish it if you like this looks, but I'll show you how to do something more like this plate is covered by some sand of the moon. 

If it's done of all color. finish it by top coat.  

I use lacquer (thinner solvent), but make sure it shouldn't has glossy. I mixed by flat base for matt looks.

 don't forget inside hole.

It's done now. Do you like it? not too difficult right? just consider more on the light emition area then apply it brightest, that's all.

 

Next part (part17-4) will be about painting of Spaceman & Satellite receiver
