12-3 To assemble sound modules, battery socket (continue)

It's about how to set the satellite receiver switch to resin with the correct way. It's a bit difficult as need high precision and can't make mistake due to the super glue effect. Are you ready? Let's go!

After checked by multimeter, the 3 pins each line are the same function.

I'll remove them all 3 pins to protect short circuit in any cases.

file them well (be carefull the dust goes inside s/w)

Cover the 3 pins with super glue putty.

This is critical point, just thinking how to align switch module into the hole.

To replace gap around button, just wrap it with proper tape 1 round is enough.

Insert module into hole. If there is some gap remain, wrap more tape.

 At front side.

Top view to see no gap remain.

An importatant issue is how to make the reaction force back to an action force. Just imagine sometime we push switch as hard. So it must be strong enough. Then I used 2.2mm of steel wire to establish the reaction force on middle corner.

grind it as slot around half ball point dept.

An important is the wire is sit both sides while a middle of wire is pressing switch.

If not, try to adjust position until 3 points are touched.

 Once the 3 points are touched, we're fix it with super glue putty. drop glue on 3 points.

Press and hold the wire, and turn to see the button at front that is still aligned.

The slot I aim to remain for sealant. Due to the reaction force should not be fixed by
rigid material. It should be a mixture of rigid and flexible material (sealant)

Once the glue are dry completely.  At front side, remove tape.

I'd like to reshape button a little bit.

Check button if it's work on both "ON" and "OFF"

Check to find the unuse pin. Then I found 1

Try to place sealant fullfil the total area of slot.
This is flexible material is good for this application.

Just do not cover the 2 pins.

Also cover the Space man voice shalf.

put sealant all around Optimus voice switch.

Now combine module together by using only 1 speaker.

Once attach this switch, check whether it's locked well.

assemble speaker first. (do not move it reach s/w of space man)
it may cause switch doesn't work.


Assemble them in. And seems there is no problem, but I've just found that one module is abit rise over the moon edge. I'll correct it next part.
