Previously, we're done for one side mold, this part will make another side. This side will make the cover surface that is visible after assembling in the moon. So we can make support points, logo etc now. ready??? go!
It's the same logo that I make use of it from gift (for my girlfriend) So I will not repeat it. Just make it very thin, cut it as rectangle profile.
Press onto plasticine at desired position.
Look at doted line, down logo to align front part. Imagine that when you open the moon up to see its bottom, logo will appear up right.
how to make support points? for me I make use of washer (7mm diameter)
and washer got hole that I'll use it for screw to place in.
make sure that center of washers is in a middle of the moon edge. Otherwise screw
will not work. The 4 points was selected is needed as minimum requirement.
The PP-board that we've just unwrap, use it again but flip as bottom up.
we've just mark the right position for this purpose.
Now down PP-board to the right marks
Before making the upper silicone, make the locker. I made by establish dimples
each possilble area around.
Once it's dry, coat silicone area by thin vaseline.
(do not coat it onto logo, you may loose detail)
try to use hard type silicone because this mold need the rigid silicone for stable
cover part. Pore it up approximately 3 mm. thickness.
during wait for silicone to dry. we can do others. Imagine the upper silicone are that we're making is soft, by this shape silicone may dangle. Then part out from resin process may not be straight ( not stable on thickness)
So to protect this problem, this side of mold needs reinforcement.
I selected CD part to be reinforement.
Offset it in around 7 mm.( PP-board 4 mm + offset in 3 mm) Mark it.
Cut on profile we marked. Deburrs well.

Check gap around (should be 1-3mm.) This gap is for silicone to stick each other.

Pore the hard type silicone in. Thickness is about 3 mm.
Press and hold CD for while to ensure CD sits on the lower silicone completely.

Blow it whole area. (during blowing, press CD too) Wait for silicone becomes jelly.

Make dimple lockers the same as previously. This is to lock upside plaster.

10-15 mm thickness of plaster is enough.
Complete this side of mold. Wait it dry 1 more day. And see how...

This photo explains well about all I mentioned the reason I need to put CD inside the right silicone peice. When we start resin process, the right silicone peice will be on top then its rigid will make the work peice resin a constant thickness.
Now we are complete the molds for bottom cover of the moon.
Next part 13-5 we are going to make its resin and see how does it look?
Thanks for watching
Bye.... for now. :)
